Bluetooth adapter for car AUX?

My car has an AUX socket but no bluetooth. So I can play music from my iPhone in the car by connecting by cable to the AUX socket, but I was wondering if there was any hardware which could let me do this over bluetooth to negate the use of cables?

I.e. is there a device that I could plug into the AUX socket which would receive a bluetooth signal (from my iPhone or a similar device), allowing me to play music wirelessly?

It's the height of laziness I know, but would be nice to stop faffing with cables (especially as my iPhone case gets in the way somewhat).

Cheers,
Phil

Maybe less faffing with cables, but you would still need to faff with the iPod's settings to turn bluetooth on/off. Of course you could leave bluetooth switch on, but it would murder battery life.

BT's not great for sound quality and wont you still need something that powers the iPod. You would be better off with one of these IMO - http://www.newertech.com/products/3n1.php

I agree with the above, that adding Bluetooth just for music is a pain.

If you have the budget to add a dedicated Bluetooth car kit that supports audio streaming that would be a good call. I use an iO Talk Bluetooth car kit for handsfree calls and music.

Otherwise, cables isn't such a bad idea... I'm personally a fan of the Griffin Autopilot
