Problem in iPod, abit mental really!

Right, I've just got round to resyncing all my music again after 3.1.2 and for some reason 4 compilation albums aren't sorting properly, e.g.

Album Name: X
Artist: A
Album Name: X
Artist :B
Album Name: X
Artist: C
Album Name: X
Artist :D

Each artist on the album is listed as a separate album under the 'Albums' tab but if I press one of these entries to go into it all the songs are listed for that album as they should be. This is for every separate entry like the example.

I didn't do this before 3.1.2 so what do I need to do to fix it?

Anyone?

Cheers.

I have this too and don't know how to fix it.

With mine the album is greatest hits and it groups Queen, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Aerosmith all together when I play the songs but on the album page they are separate.

Go into iTunes, select all the songs on the album/right click/Get Info/Info and tick the box in the bottom right ..Part of a compilation

You cant do that for multiple items, is the part of a compilation box a new thing? Like I said it didn't do it pre-3.1.2.

Oh right , my fault. Must learn to read properly. That's strange that it didn't happen before. It's always been like that for me. I just took the easy route and selected the whole album and changed Album Artist to Various Artists. Though someone will probably tell us an even easier way
