Screen resizing problem

Updated my software last night and my phone is playing up the main screen seems to expand too far i.e at the bottom you can't see the writing saying iPod , contacts etc also when viewing the Internet the left hand side of the screen seems to be out slightly i.e on this forum you can't see the first letter on peoples names anyone any ideas?
