No 3G on iPhone 3GS

Hey guys,

Have had my iPhone 3GS for about a month now and everything was fine until the other day 02 put a Barr on the phone for some reason unknown to me. So I called them and they said they didn't know hy the bar had been put on.

When the phone came back, I noticed I didn't have any 3G signal.

Do you think it could be something to do with them not turning it back on probably or could it be the phone itself?

Have you gone to settings > general > network and enabled 3G?

Yeah it's enabled.

O2 may have released the call bar but not the data bar, so perhaps give them a call and make sure there are no restrictions of any sort on your account.

Ahh ok, good point.

I will give them a call at lunch and see what they have to say.

Ok, called them at lunch and they told me to plug my iPhone back into iTunes and it would make the 3G work again.

As you can probably tell, this hasn't worked I restored it to it's original settings as well, still nothing.

Any ideas guys?

Well my 3GS is playing up today too - can't seem to get any data connection on a 3G signal either. I'll have 3 or 4 bars of signal and the 3G icon, but no data seems to actually work - most apps simply sit there waiting while some of them give me a time out message. If I turn off 3G and revert to the GPRS signal then it all seems to work fine. Weirdly my colleague who sits a few feet away seems to have no problems at all with his.
