So I'm going abroad

To Egypt to be precise, what I want to know is what to switch off in my settings so as not to get charged anything from O2 . I want to use my 3Gs as an iPod only and possibly the wifi if I can get access at my hotel, I'm
not interested in receiving calls or texts.

Re: So I'm going abroad

you can put it in airplane mode this would turn off all radio so no data in and out this includes wifi so you would have to turn it off when you wanted to use wifi.

you really just need to make sure the data roaming is off settings -> general -> network -> data roaming.

with roaming off your phone wont connect to any mobile data network apart from your domestic one and so you should avoid the heavy data charges
