Ive spent a lot of time this weekend trying to get the tethering enabled on my new Orange 3GS.

Theres quite a lot of places that discuss how they've done it but every time i try it either removes the option to tether or it says i need to contact orange - grrr!

Anybody had any better luck? If so, can u put me outta my misery please =D

Hi Darryl,

I have been mincing about with this today, but bear in mind I am running a jailbroken and unlocked 3gs, originally on orange. I went to the following website directly from my iphone:

help.BenM.at

Then scroll down got to Tethering & Internet Settings>Mobileconfigs>Download

Then choose your country and carrier settings and install the config file there and then.

yeah i pretty much started there; first i couldnt find orange uk so i used the generator instead which removes the orange prompt BUT alos removes the tether option as well :/

maybe my phone has to be JB??
