Possible to backup iTunes content onto hard disk?

Since i would need at least 4 dvds (@ 4.7gb each) to backup my itunes content, would prefer to backup my content to my pc's hard disk but i cannot find any option in itunes to do this. Is it possible?

Re: Possible to backup iTunes content onto hard disk?

In iTunes main programme window, from the menus, select Edit/Preferences.

Choose the "Advanced" tab and select "Keep iTunes folder organised" and "Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library"

This will create an iTunes folder in your MyDocuments/MyMusic folder and store all your music on your PC's HDD

After you've done the whole "keep Itunes media organised" thing you should have everything you've added to Itunes in one place. Once you've done that you can simply do a manual copy of that Itunes folder by finding it in Windows Explorer, select it, right-click, choose "copy", then navigate to your backup directory, right-click, select paste.
