iPhone Alarm Clock, if I asked for...

...2 alarms, alarm via buzzer/iphone/radio, snooze function, decent sound (for a bedroom so doesnt need to be spectacular), no airplane mode issues with the iphone 3GS, dimmable clock...

What would be my options or what can you recommend? Charging would be a handy optional extra feature, but as my iphone sits all day plugged into my computer at work, it generally doesn't need to charge through the night.

I've seen a couple of threads about the Yam TSX range, but they are out of my budget.

I've got about £100 to spend, but as this is essentially a snazzy alarm clock, with listening to the radio as a bonus, I don't want to be spending silly money. I would pay a little more to get DAB but not essential.

Do people have any reviews/recommendations about any of these

Play.com (UK) : Sony ICF-C1IPMK2B Speaker iPod Dock / Clock Radio (Black) : Electronics - Free Delivery

Buy Sony ICFC7IP iPhone and iPod Alarm Clock Radio. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for .

This one is more of a gimic, and I don't really want a 1w speaker
Sony ICFCL75iP iPod/iPhone 3G dock clock radio with large LCD,music,video,photos (icf-cl75ip)

Thanks in advance

Very tempted by the logitech pure-fi dream. Anyone got one and using it with a 3GS?

Re: iPhone Alarm Clock, if I asked for...

If I were to drop the alarm clock feature, are there many iphone speaker docks that have built in radio? The more I look at the alarm clocks, the more it seems like I have to compromise on sound quality/loudness.
I would like this to be a decent(ish) stereo for the bedroom, but radio is a must.
I was originally thinking squeezebox boom, but dont have a NAS yet and just got rid of my WHS, so don't want to have to have the computer on all the time.

Re: iPhone Alarm Clock, if I asked for...

I bought one of these from Amazon. Amazing for the price. Nice meaty sound quality and not bad looking either. My sister was so impressed she got a black version of the same one.

Logic3 iStation Alarm Clock Radio for iPod - White: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

I'd thoroughly recommend it. The price might indicate a cheap and nasty product, but if it were three times the price you'd be hard pushed to dispute the quality.

Some reviews say the display is too bright at night, i'd dispute that. We live in the middle of nowhere (complete darkness) and it's nice and subtle at night, not bright at all.

Hope this helps,
Paul

Re: iPhone Alarm Clock, if I asked for...

Thanks for that. Is that one iPhone compatible, and more importantly iPhone 3GS compatible - didn't see it mentioned. I will google it, but if you already know...

I wouldn't be able to confirm that unfortunately. I'm using my new Ipod Touch 64GB 3rd Gen with it, so I would have thought so, but couldn't say for sure. Sorry I can't be more help.

Philips AJ300DB/05 iPod Docking Station with wOOx: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Might be what you are looking for. I picked 1 up last week so not used extensively yet but first thoughts are very good. Bit bassy but depending on equalizer setting.

Thanks mate - on quick inspection, I couldn't see iPhone compatibility - will do a bit more reading.

I'm now tempted to drop the alarm clock bit in favour of decent iphone speaker dock with built in radio if I can get such a thing.

The Philips has a built in radio, you get different size adapters so it will probably be compatible with the iPhone.

I don't know anything about it but it looks good!
