iPhone 3GS FM Radio

Hello, i know apple are potentially bringing out an fm player in the near future, but in the mean time are there any external players that i can attach to my 3gs and be enlightened by fm radio again.

I here what your going to say 'Get wunderadio etc.' but i have that and its not so good on a train where signal dips in and out. As good as wunderadio is its nt really a comparison to good old fm!

Thanks

Russ

EDIT: I have found this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-FM-Radio-R...item1e55f42bfe

Ive always been wary of buying from overseas however, what do you think?

EDIT: Looked again and found this on a potentially suspect website: http://sunvalltek.com/store/blk-fm-r...ano-p-934.html

any ideas would be helpful

Thanks

I was led to believe that the iPhone already contains the FM chip, therefore it just requires an app creating / installing in order to listen to the radio over FM rather than via the internet.

The nearest app I've found is the FStream player, you can add radio streams which allows you to listen, pause and record radio.

I've added some BBC radio streams from this site:
BBC Radio iPhone Streams

Hope this helps.

EDIT: just noticed you may be looking for a hardware solution, sorry can't help with that!

I got a Roberts Robi from HMV, I too wanted radio for when i'm on the way to football. The Robi whilst not cheap at around £50 gives FM, DAB and also acts as a remote for the ipod. Sound quality is superb!

f you don't mind spending a bit then it's defo a worthwile buy!

one thing i was disappointed about was that the original fm receiver apple released for earlier models of the ipod doesn't work with the iphone doens't seem to be any reason for it, unless it has trouble working so close to a phone

i have not heard of this before, ive only just moved to an ipod from a sony walkman, which i have to say is very good! however it got wet and no longer works hence why i now want an fm reciever for the iphone.

the roberts robi looks good, i might just go with an external player from ebay, it means carrying 2 bits of kit around with me but im used to that from my days with the walkman. When the fm reciever comes out for the iphone though it will be good times allround!
