Iphone 3gs shopping list

I am about to purchase a 3GS 16 Iphone white

I have also purchased a Tuff as Nuts case
My questions are what else do I need to purchase

Screen Protector = Power Support Anti Glare or Crystal film

Power Adapter - Does the Iphone use the same usb/power adapter as the ipod touch ?

I would like to sit the Iphone on a stand that will charge the phone whilst also being able to listen to music etc via a speaker system - Any ideas

Is there anything else needed

The Power Support screen protectors are probably the best ones out there for the iphone. If you want to retain the original screen clarity/colour but don't mind fingerprints then go for the Crystal version, whilst the anti-glare one prevents fingerprints but reduces the screen clarity slightly. I went for the Crystal one as i didn't mind fingerprints but each to their own and all that. You won't be disappointed whichever one you choose.

This Sony one from Play comes with excellent reviews.

Re: Iphone 3gs shopping list

Nice idea for a thread. I see this being very handy for me and all the other people about to buy an iPhone for the first time and are bewildered by the choice of cases, screen protectors etc

Re: Iphone 3gs shopping list

Just have a silly question

When you are at home with the iphone, do you need to switch from the 02 network to your own home network or will it automatically switch when you come within range, so that you are not using the unlimited web usage allowance.

I am not sure how you would go about surfing the web from the iphone at home if you already have a BT broadband set up.

Thanks

If you have wifi enabled on your iPhone it will use it. So when you are at home it will use wifi if it can connect and the cellular network if not.
You can also go into the settings and check the amount of data going over o2/Orange to make sure it IS going out over wifi

Re: Iphone 3gs shopping list

Has anyone got either the Klipsch iGroove SXT MFI iPod Speaker or the Klipsch Image S2m In-Ear Headset (or the S4i’s)

Just got a 3gs 16gb and am looking to get an alarm clock dock for my bedroom and a new headset.

If so what do you think and would you recommend? Or any other recommendations for either?

Cheers, Steve

Can you stop it from downloading mail on the phone network unless you request it and automatically download when conected to WiFi?
