Hi,

I've never set foot inside an Apple store. There isn't one really close to where I live and I've not really had reason to make the effort to go to one before.

However, as I'm getting a shiny iPhone 3GS on Orange this week, I thought I'd make a special trip and go check out the one in Milton Keynes.

Specifically I'm interested in looking at iPhone accessories - case, screen protectors etc.

Is that something that the Apple store will stock? The likes of the Incase Slider, Incipio Feather or Rebel Sepent cases and things like that.

If the Apple store doesn't stock those sorts of things, is there another high-street store that does?

I know I can order them online but I've never seen any of these things close up before and I'd rather have a hands on look before buying.

The Apple Stores do have these things, but not the full online list. Carphonewarehouse also stock bits n pieces. 02 have a couple of cases too.
Apple online is best tho.

u will not believe now many iphones they have on display. i went to one and its not that big and they have about 20-25 iphones. every table has about 5 on each.

like the other guy said, apple online is the best place, very very quick delivery but for cases have a look at ebay cause all the cases from apple can be bought from ebay alot cheaper sometimes.

I'm very lucky to have two Apple stores close (Birmingham & Solihull) and I have to say that they are really exc++ places to browse and shop. Staff generally very helpful and knowledgeable, good too for getting advice with setting up and teething problems. I suspect they don't all carry the same range of stock though. Definitely worth a visit with your new phone. As Chelsea says O2 are pretty good too and some items are a bit cheaper (sorry, marginally less expensive ) than Apple. My only complaint about the Apple stores is that they should carry a prominently displayed Government Wealth warning - it's very easy to get carried away! Enjoy the phone & the shop.

I was expecting the Glasgow one to have a roller coaster inside. I was sorely disapointed when they just had apple and apple related products

My local store is in Kingston, although the store is well appointed with Macs, Phones, Pods, the accessories bit is on a wall approximately 20 feet wide, 10 feet of which is taken up with headphones and sound docks. the remaining space has screen protectors, cases e.t.c

The point i get to (eventually) is that if i were to be travelling distance to get to it - i would be very very disappointed. Not a sign of 80% of the stuff you see on the website. So call prior to travel would be my strong advice.

Overall they push shopping 'experience', it works for some, i find it mildly irritating....... you spend ages trying to get anyones attention, and they always think they know better (especially about trading standard........ on oxford i physically had to print out the sale and return policy of OFT website and show it to them to prove that by law i was entitled to a refund)......

I think one of the apple stores new product launch things where the staff run doing the queues whooping and hi-fiving would make me sick in seconds.

Shame they make such good products really
