How to reset iPhone 3G?

Hey All,

I am giving my iPhone to my mom as I am getting a new one, but how do I reset it so she can use her O2 sim card?

If I plug it into my computer and choose reset, it resets it but still registered to me. How can I change that so it registers to her.

Full Restore ? Or Reset in settings/General on iPhone

It would be a full reset I need to do so my mother can register it with her phone number, if I do a reset in itunes it wipes everything of mine but seems to remember that its registered to me.
