I Phone 3GS Dilemma - advice needed

Here's my situation, I'm coming to the end of my 18 month contract with T-Mobile, and would really like to move over to the Apple Iphone 3gs, 16gb on a 24 month contract , but here is the dilemma I have. Do I ,

Go with O2 on a 24 mth contract pay £87 then £35 a month for 600 mins and 500 texts.

Go with Orange on a 24 mth contract pay £125 then £30 a month for 150 minutes & 250 texts (as this is what i use roughly a month)

Get a Virgin liberty sim only for £10 a month with 200 mins and unlimited texts on a 30 day contract and hold off to see what vodafone come out with in Dec 09/Jan 10.

or...see what T-mobile can do for me with the HTC G2 touch (hero ,as i see some people prefer this to the iphone) on my existing Flext 35 tariff which i'm getting for £25 a month just now with approx (£140 credit). Basically , do you think it would be a good deal if they gave me a free upgrade to this phone and chucked the free internet in for my £25, or am I chancing my arm to much?)

Any help appreciated, as it's doing my head in.

Cheers

I'm so confused. I think my head just exploded. I don't think you will see much difference in the price when vodafone comes through. I think it would be a good idea to wait and see what the unlocking situation is though. Just now vodafone unlock all contract phones even if you have it for a day so they might bring that philosophy to the iPhone as well.

I'd go with the orange one. It's a good bit cheaper and if that's all you use then why not!

the only concerns i have with Orange is their Customer service horror stories and the data usage 500mb/750mb ..hardly unlimited unlike O2.

If only O2 did the £30 tariff with 150 mins & 250 texts I would be sorted.

I don't have access to the O2 page at the moment to look at pricing. Apparently if you aren't in the country you can't even LOOK at the prices..

But if you bought a PAYG and got a simplicity contract would it not work out cheaper?

Why not do this

Get the 3gs on a 24 mth contract for £35 a month with 500 texts and 600 mins and go down to the £30 a month contract after 9 mnths

If I were you, I would get an iPhone on PAYG and get a sim only contract
