New PC. If I use it to sync to iTunes will I loose my data?

Will I loose all my data if I do this?

Do I just plug it in and off I go?

Dont want tio hijack the thread but having a similar conundrum myself -
Updating to windows 7

What do I need to do to migrate my Itunes account after new OS is installed?

How do i deal with apps? do i need to back them up to an external drive, then import them back into itunes?

(kind of same issues/questions to you Mikey)

If i remember correctly you should be ok if you authorise your itunes account on the new pc before syncing... I think it should give you the option when you try to sync but these are easily missed i think.

Re: New PC. If I use it to sync to iTunes will I loose my data?

You can authorise you iphone to upto 5 different PC's so you shouldn't lose stuff on your iphone - I've got mine registered with my home pc and laptop.

However if you have your own non-itunes store music in your Itune library just make sure you copy that music over to your new Itune fmusic folder.

Dependant of what else you use your iphone for I would recommended you install your back-ups of those before syncing your phone. I.e. set up Outlook and restore your email/calender backup first. This way it shouldn't have any conflicts.
