Not sure if anyone else's experienced this problem but the mic on my iphone 3gs appears to be very poor or there's something I'm not aware that I should've activated. People can hardly hear my voice when I make or receive calls initially - I have to almost shout. I've been told I sound as though I'm making a call under a shower! However after a while it seems to clear up and apparently I'm coming through louder but still with the 'shower' interference in the background. Is this a known problem? I'm on version 3.1.2 (7D11) and have only had the phone for 3 weeks.

Also in the worst case scenario, if I took the phone back would they give me a refurb or a new one?
