Ford Focus iPhone 3GS music recommendations

Hi everyone,

I have a ford focus Titanium model (54 reg), the car has a touch screen panel which acts as satnav music mp3 and bluetooth car kit. The phone connects perfectly with the car kit but I was wondering whats the best way to play music out of the system and charge it as well? i don't mind installing a lead if needs be, i want something which is tidy with very few cables. Also does anyone know if its possible to have the music controls for the iphone appear on the main display in the car? Is this even possible through a cable install or would it require a lot more work?

Re: Ford Focus iPhone 3GS music recommendations

Hi,

The iphone integration is not perfect in the ford focus.

You can link it with an usb cable and an audio jack cable. By doing this, you have the music controls for the iphone appear on the main display in the car, but you do not have the phone functionnalities.

You can link it with the bluetooth connection. By doing this, you have the phone functionnalities, but you do not have the music controls for the iphone appear on the main display in the car (just the sound).

If you do do both (the audio jack cable is not require in this case), you have the phone functionnalities and the music control appear on the main display in the car, but you have to switch from the ipod functionnality (to choose a music) and the bluetooth functionnality (to hear something).
