Cradle, kit, mount....

I'm after one for my 3GS.

Has anyone come across one that will clamp on the phone? (reason for this is I don't want to take off my case
I'd like it to be able to clip onto a vent and windscreen if poss
I want to be able to rotate from portrait to landscape
I don't want to spend more than £10

Is this achieavable?

Re: Cradle, kit, mount....

Picked up a Kensington Iphone car mount on eBay a while back for £14 + shipping - does everything you need!

Do a search for KENSINGTON IPOD CAR MOUNT - seems to US sellers returned. Mine was bought from a UK seller called "inktastic"

Re: Cradle, kit, mount....

A brodit clip and mount will do everything you want apart from hit your budget. You'd be looking at £35'ish.
I guess it depends on how much you'll use it, but I've always found cheap mounts are just too wafty and I hate it. You've spent out on a decent phone...get a decent mount for it

Re: Cradle, kit, mount....

It won't be easy to get what you want with a relatively low budget, or maybe I'm just fussy, in fact I know I am, I couldn't find a bracket that quite met my needs so created my own Hybrid design!

dekoded design iPhone car bracket | dekoded.com

I don't understand why a manufacturer can't produce something similar for around £30 - £40, the TomTom bracket looks really good but very expensive.

At least I've managed to re-use the original cigarette/usb charger from the belkin Tunebase direct, in fact I had a Belkin micro usb cigarette adapter but this wouldn't charge my iPhone when connected to the mini USB port?

Interesting! I've just bought a cheapy universal clamp cradle which will attach to an air vent or a sticky pad! It only cost me a quid so i'm going to have a quick play with it to see if it can be modified to rotate!

Stand corrected but i did mean a decent one that won't possibly fall apart.

Take your point though, it can be done.
