Latest update anygood?

I resisted updating my phone to 3.1 because of all the horror stories about phones failing. Has the latest update cured the problems or should I stay where I am at the moment. The phone is a 3gs on contract with 02 and I will not be jailbreaking.

I'm one of those whose iPhone was killed by 3.1 (hence I went back to 3.0.1). I've read plenty of stories of the latest update not curing the problem so I'll be sticking with 3.0.1 for some time yet.

Anyone else? I appreciate most are running jailbreak phones but someone must have updated..................or not.

Updated from 3.0 to 3.1.2 - never had 3.1

Also Jailbroke using BlackRa1n - no problems for me with jailbreak of new OS on 3Gs.

Battery life seems to be better for me. Not so many new features - best one for me is the Voice control over bluetooth - which now allows my Sony Ericcson HCB-700 to dial without having to touch the phone.

not sure what you mean by anygood. but if you had a 3.0.1 in one hand and a 3.1.2 in the other you wouldn't know which was which

My only gripe at 3.1.2 is that they've lowered the key entry volume. I know its not much really but I liked it how it was.

3.1 and 3.1.2 both brick my 3G (un-jailbroken), sticking with 3.01 since I passed warranty a month ago. Apple offered to 'repair' my bricked phone for £140... no thanks.

Agree about the start up password clicks, sound so weak now.

I am unsure about 3.1.2, having been on 3.0.1 JB, i think my battery has gotten worse now.

On a 3g. Updated to 3.1 and then 3.1.2. No problems except imotion app no longer works - says it only works with 3.1 but an update will fix it soon.

I updated to 3.1.2 and it busted my non-jalibroken 3GS.

Updated my replacement and no issues yet (had it less than 24 hours though).

I updated to 3.1.2 last night with no probs(apart for having to rename my phone). I have yet to notice any difference in performance or anything.
