Hi, bit of a noob to the iphone so bear with me

If i have the PAYG sim with free internet (after i've topped up £15+) do i access the net just by turning on 3G or do i leave this off? Are there any other hidden charges or is everything free, so i can stream youtube vids & read emails without incurring any charges?

Having 3g on will give you faster speeds but less battery life. In general most people would have 3g turned on, and if you want to watch vids you should definitely have it turned on.

Yes most free internet bolt ons carry only one restriction which is a data limit of around 250mb-500mb

If you have the proper iPhone PAYG SIM then it's unlimited internet for the first 12 months. You may need to contact O2 first to let them know you're using the SIM in an iPhone and they will activate the free web.

Cheers, just got my standard PAYG sim swapped over to textandweb.

BTW, if i have unlimited texts does receiving texts from facebook cost anything as it says it's free from facebook but standard charges will apply?
