Problems viewing YouTube videos through safari

Hi all, if I visit YouTube through safari on my 3gs the videos are greyed out and cannot be played, however my cousin also has a 3gs and he can view
them! Why can't I? Anybody got any ideas?

On Safari - on YouTube, right at the bottom of the page, you can choose between 'Desktop' version & 'Mobile' version. Have you tried this?

Tried that, I can now see the video thumbnail but it still won't play, j just get the play symbol covered by a strikethrough sign? Any other ideas? I can never view emmbedded you vids in threads on here either

Can you view vids through the YouTube App itself?

Yeah I can view through the you tube app, I'm also jailbroken and have the mxtube app for downloading and saving the vids. I just can't view them through the normal site. I didn't think the iPhone could do it bu like I say my cousins does so I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong!

If you have safari download manager installed uninstall it.I had this problem with bbc iplayer not playing vids maybe a similar problem.

I don't think I have the safari download manager, I've certainly not installed it myself anyway, but I check

I never installed it either (or so i thought ) but it installed with some other package i d/loaded.
