Can e-mails only be sent/received via Wifi?

.............My email works fine when connected via wifi, but was out and about today, tried to access it and was told it couldn't connect?

Do I have to change settings or something?

Definitely a setting probably on your server side. Sadly I didn't configure mine so can't say for sure!

Mine will pick up/send my IMAP work emails on any wireless or 3g signal. Same for Hotmail

Cheers mate. Not really a big issue, but if I should be able to do it, I'd like to find out how!

i can get mine and send them over any connection.

Are you able to surf the internet without being on wifi on safari?

If you cannot then your data settings may be incorrect, in order to correct this you can do a search in these forums for them whoever your carrier is.
