My wife has inherited a Blackberry Bold but wants to get a SE995, as I'm not too fussy about what I use and as the iphone clearly has better re-sale value I'm thinking about doing a swap and sticking my PAYG iphone 3G on the classifieds to put the money towards the phone she wants.

Is there anything I need to do first in the way of erasing private data or is it as simple as unlinking my appstore account details?

Also not sure how it works with all the apps etc. I have on the phone(especially when it comes to updates and asks for my details), is it best to delete all of those before selling or not important?

Other things are the what happens about warrenty(6 months remaining), paid on card so obviously can't really give the receipt with my details on it, does that mean I have to sell it as having no warrenty. Same issue with the data services which have 6 months inclusive remaining(obviously would like to keep the sim card as alot of people have the number), I'm presuming by keeping the sim card that would mean losing the included data package?

Sorry for all the questions, used to be so simple selling mobile phones of old and I'm totally confused with how to sell this one

Do a full restore be back to factory settings then

Settings, General, Reset, Erase all content and settings.

It'll be factory fresh then, and nobody will be able to recover any data from your iPhone.
