I've just bought a new laptop and put the new itunes on it and then got all my library on and looking good.
Then i plugged in my iphone 3GS and itunes justs hangs
When I unplug it gets better but itunes wont see my iphone

The autoplay thing pops up ok and sees my pictures but itunes isnt playing

Its really annoying

ok stratch that its fixed - but for anyone who is having this prob - it appears the solution is to just leave it hanging there and eventually it is recognised - reports of 3 mins 10 mins and mine was about 15 mins then there it was.
I just left itunes minimised all messed up then eventually when I clicked on the tool bar there was itunes all working and my iphone being nice

just a quick question i have a jail broken iphone 3gs on firmware 3.0,
is it safe to update itunes to 9? thanks

Yes. Just make sure to ignore all updates for your iPhone.
