Iphone 3g contract sim in another phone

Hi All,
Iphone 3g has been dropped and screen smashed! Gutted to say the least. Good news is my insurace company will repair and it has been sent off for the repair.

I am on contract so all data is included, I have put my sim in to a sony erricson w890i and believe it connects to the internet via HSDPA, will this allow me to connect to the internet via my normal 3g allowance or will I get a big charge if I do connect?
