New Windows Install - Itunes issues

Folks,

had to reinstall windows on my PC. Now I did follow a guide on backing up itunes etc but there is 1 issue.

Now that I want my iPhone to sync iTunes is saying it will delete all of my apps!!! Some I have paid for!!

How do I resolve this?

All Apps once paid for will re-install for free once you select them

You can only synchronise your iPhone with one iTunes library at a time. Since you've just built your PC from scratch, you now have a different library, a new library as far as iTunes is concerned.

Therefore when you connect your iPhone and ask it to Sync you'll be prompted that you can Sync, but all content will be removed and replaced. This is by design.

As chelsea.tone has said, you can download all your Apps for free again. Go through the routine of purchasing them and you'll not be charged. Then just Sync as normal, accept the prompt that everything will be wiped and you'll be fine.

The only thing you will find is that your saved data may be lost, so hopefully you're not 90% the way through a really difficult game....

Hi guys,

i'm planning to reinstall windows on my PC this week (its been 2 and a half years since I last installed and i think its time for a clearout)

As part of the prep for doing this should i "deauthorise" my account in itunes and set up as a new one on the rebuilt PC? Or doesn't it matter?
