gps on original iPhone (2G)

I think this has been discussed in the past but cant seem to find the thread - has anyone tried any of the few external GPS modules that fit onto the original iPhone in order to use it for sat navs etc? I really wanted to get some sort of navigation (tomtom/navigon) on my phone so I dont have to carry extra stuff. I was looking at the orange igps 360 module - any recommendations?
