OCD or fault?

Just a quick "survey" for my fellow iPhone owners out there

I have noticed that my replacement iPhone has an uneven screen that I have not noticed on my previous 3-4 iPhones. If I run my finger from left to right, to unlock it for example, my finger gets caught on the bezel and is actually quite sharp.

The screen on the right hand side is about 2mm lower than on the left which is causing this problem and I would just like to hear from you guys before I ring up and try and get the problem solved.

So is yours even or uneven?

Thanks

Re: OCD or fault?

Thought id do a search about dead/stuck pixels on iphones because people on here dont seem to mention them much, i have had them on the iphones i have had and after i search on the internet there were loads of people who have the same problems even with the ipod touch,so its nice to know its not just me saying theres a problem with the iphones/ipod touch, what screens are apple using?cheap quality screens if you ask me,paying £450 for an iphone you should have a perfect screen imo

I know LCD screens can suffer with dead/stuck pixels but every iphone i have had has had them had no problems with my lcd tv's,psp,ds,laptop etc

Re: OCD or fault?

Just for anyone that cares (Philip :P), I have received my replacement today but I'm not a happy bunny!

The replacement seems to be rather on the large side, it barely fits into my slider and feather and it's currently stuck inside the slider. Needless to say i'll be back on the blower to Apple asap and get one in retail packaging rather than these obviously flawed replacement units.

The "flawed" replacement units are just the same as the ones in retail packaging. Are you sure your not just imagining it?!

Re: OCD or fault?

Haha, I can assure you that I am not imagining it!

I have a 3G one and my replacement next to me, the 3G slides in and out of the Incase slider relatively easily just like every other 3GS I have had. However the one I have now requires force to get in, and once in the case does not want to come out. It's the same for the feather, it does not sit properly in the case.

I haven't a clue what's wrong, there's no screen protectors on the phone, no InvisibleSHIELD or anything of the sort.

The only difference between them is that on the replacement, the join between the chrome and the plastic around the sides is not flush which may be causing the problem
