Tesco Mobile PAYG Sim in 3G

Hi,

I am looking to put a Tesco Mobil PAYG sim into a factory unlocked 3G.

The current sim card is quite old - how do I know if it is a 3G card?

Also will text / mms settings set up automatically? if not where do I get correct ones from?

Thirdly ( so many questions ) does anyone know how much Tesco charge for data?

Thanks in advance, I've had a little google and search but coming up blanks!

A

If you phone up Tesco Mobile customer services they will be able to tell you the services enabled for a number

It is unlikely you will not have 3G and MMS unless you have a sim card which is very old

Ring Tesco and check, my T-Mobile simcard which i got in 2006 was NOT a 3g one, i had to go into store and get a new one, and they bloody charged me for it!!.
Data charges will prob be on there own site as well as MMS settings, if not a quick google usually finds them.

Yeah, if you need settings for anything then they should simply send you a text message which will enable it on your phone
