My partner and I both have iPhones which we sync via our separate accounts on our iMac. If one of us purchased the tomtom app are we able to share it on both iPhones? Or would we both have to purchase it?

If you used the same itunes account you would be able to sync it to both phones (like any other app), but as it sounds like you have separate itunes accounts then unfortunately you would both have to puchase it separately.

Might be a good excuse for one to buy TomTom and the other to buy one of the other satnav programs so you can decide which you prefer? Personally I think Navigon is really good and has plenty of excellent features on the way in updates too which should put it well ahead of TomTom (e.g. spoken street names, in-app iPod control, traffic).

They would need to be linked to the same account, but you can happily switch accounts on an iPhone, and have apps from different accounts on one device.

Just go into your 'settings > app store' area then sign into the account you've already purchased the app on, and re-download it.
