Question considering an iphone..

while being away on work i have been using my friends iphone to check emails/facebook etc and i cant believe how useful they are, its like having a mini laptop in your hand...well kind off really easy to use and cant believe that browsing web etc has now actually become a painless activity through your phone!

i have read that a lot of people jailbrake the phone for many reasons, this is what stumps me. It looks easy enough to do but if you pay out a lot of money for a phone like this why would you want to jeopardise the warranty?

i would like to jailbrake mine if i did ever get one but im scared! lol so, what gave you the the final push to go and do it and have you ever looked back? what problems if any did you come across, are the times you ever think...if my iPhone wasnt jailbroke i could do that!

Re: considering an iphone..

There is nothing you cannot do BECAUSE your phone is jailbroken.More likely to be theres things you cannot do because your phone ISN'T jailbroken.
I have had 4 iPhones in total. The first thing I have done is Jailbreak them when I get home.

You are right that if you took your jailbroken phone to Apple for repair they would laugh at you, as you would have voided the warranty. But all you need to do is do a restore in iTunes and they would have no idea that it had ever been jailbroken.I, along with lots of others can confirm that this works as I have done it myself.

^^ he is right

did mine the other night and its brilliant, the main thing i wanted was winterboard so i could add an extra icon to the bottom, add a background image and a few other bits and pieces.

its really easy to-do, infact i couldn't believe i made such a fuss before doing it.

if you like facebook, the new 3.0 version is out anytime now and looks brilliant

go for the 3GS
