Is there a good FM Transmiter available for the iPhone yet?

Hi all, have searched the forums but the posts on this are a few months old now.

I want to listen to FM radio on my iPhone - I don't want to stream off the internet or through any applications. I also don't want a car adaptor.

I have seen transmiters available for iPods that simply click on the top of the iPod and you can listen to FM radio as if it were a little radio. Is there anything like this available for the iPhone? Surely there is a market for this...?

You seem to asking about an FM receiver, not a transmitter.

The 'little transmitters' that click into the top of iPods don't receive FM radio, they transmit it, ie they transmit the music on FM from your ipod/iphone to an FM band on your car radio. Of course if you have a car radio you don't need to listen to radio through the iphone...

if you want to listen to radio on your iphone, and don't want to stream internet radio over 3g, you are talking about something like this:

Griffin Navigate 6254-NAVIGT In Line Controller and FM: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Expensive but griffin kit is top quality and their customer service second to none. I bought an itrip off eBay for my iphone and it lacked the right adaptor for my 3g. Griffin sent one - a piece of plastic weighing 3 grams - from the US to me by UPS for nothing.
