iPhone3GS Vodafone UK users

...any satisfied Voda / iPhone users here?

Sick and tired of crummy o2 3g performance and coverage so considering a defection to Vodafone - probably a SIM only package with internet add on.

Anyone else do something similar? Does EVERYTHING work? e.g. push notification, app store, fast 3g speeds?

Thanks!
Monty

You're the same as me Monty, just took mine back to O2 this morning due to the crap network, now looking into jailbreaking one and going with orange or vodafone, just need to find a package which work best for the iphones with an internet bolt on...

Per my research they're roughly the same price wise, just depends which network is best. o2 3g performance, even in central london, was shocking and personally I can't wait to get shot of them

M

Run a 3G on vodafone with no problems (you don't get push or visual voicemail but the rest is there). Data speeds are great like this:

Re: iPhone3GS Vodafone UK users

I'm not satisfied with Vodafone where i live. 02 and T-Mobile have much better 3g reception than Vodafone but atleast i have wifi i can use at home.

Hopefully this is not the cause of poor battery since it's looking for a 3g signal.

My battery gets hammered in areas where 3g reception is variable, constantly switching between 2/3g .. I normally turn it off unless I specifically want to do something data intensive.

Monty

Re: iPhone3GS Vodafone UK users

you do get push when using Voda, push has nothing to do with the network provider, its just needs an internet connection.

I have an Iphone on Voda and run three apps with push and they work perfectly

Re: iPhone3GS Vodafone UK users

YEs Im confused??

I converted to my first iPhone 2 weeks ago and im on Vodafone, got it all unlocked and some nice none app store apps running fine. Also installed iFotty, IM and Exchange for work email all use Push dont they? Not a single prob but I do need to turn off location, 3g and edge when not needed as it really kills the battery, but it take seconds to turn it back on!! right time to finish the last level of Fieldrunners!!
