Getting the most from my battery

tight guys, i'm off to V festival at the weekend, and taking the trusty iPhone (first gen) with me.

now of course there's gonna be no charging points! so how can i get the most from my battery?apart from switching it off at night.
the iPhone will be charging all the way there via my iPod connector on my cars stereo

(will have a digi cam for photos at the gig, and will have a back up phone just incase battery does run out)

cheers

There might be a charging tent since Virgin have a mobile network. The last time I was at Leeds fest they had one run by Orange who were a sponsor that year.

Re: Getting the most from my battery

Location Services is the biggest battery killer. Followed by the suggestions above.

The best tip though would be to buy yourself a charging station / battery pack. Either a rechargeable one like the Ted Baker / Proporta USB one or a Solar powered one since you'll be outdoors.

If you can't make the battery last... find ways of topping it up

Settings > General > Location Services On/Off

And Google 'Solar Power USB Charger' or 'Mobile phone battery pack' and you'll find all sorts. Even places like Argos sell them and certainly places like Halfords and big electrical retailers or even those mobile shops in service stations.
