I have seinnheiser in ear headphones. They never went completly into the headphone jack from day one, now seems to be fitting even less well. Took it into Apple dealer yesterday and one of the chaps there had iPhone 3G too and he didn't have a problem with any headphones at all. So

1. Do some iPhones not have recessed jack?

2. Can you recommend me an adapter?

Pretty sure only the 2g had a recessed jack, I know mine did, but thought more recent versions accepted standard headphone jacks. If you do have a recessed version you can pick up adapter leads pretty easily on fleabay.

Mine is 3G for sure. Will get an adapter, rather not use ebay mind.
