hi there,

if have a 2G unlocked iphone running 2.2.1.

i used to have an Orange normal account and the internet worked fine.

now i've changed to pay as you, i bought a day's internet access for £1 but the phone says

''could not activate cellular data network: You are not subscribed to a cellular data device''

in the sticky above it says to go to settings/general/network/EDGE and enter:

· APN address (PAYG): paygwap
· Username: Orange
· Password: Multimedia

i don't have an EDGE option, but i do have Cellular Data Network

but i can't see what it is currently set to.

and a guy at orange said to change it from orangeinternet to orangewap.

it seems familar that i used to be able to see orangeinternet somewhere, and perhaps this is what i need to change?

anyway, i just wanted to check which it should be and where before i buy another net connection.

ok sorted now.

it appears the section was blank as internet settings had cleared at some point.

and the info on this site was correct, orange were completely wrong
