Right can someone please help me with this it’s doing my head in!

I have just got my iphone and I have added 2 albums to it. I wanted to add album art for both albums so I have selected the entire album in itunes when my iphone is connected and then right clicked and selected get info. I then copy the album art into the artwork section and then I have made sure the box is ticked. Then clicked ok and it looks like its adding the art work but it doesn’t. If I select the album again and right click get info the artwork has gone.

I’m going mad trying to figure this out. I’m a bit anal about having everything just right and its killing me!

I have just added an album to my sons iphone and the art didn't transfer either. I opened album and right clicked on each track individually,get info, Clicked on end tab ' artwork' click add, a box opens locate album art and add the click ok. It was long winded but each track now has the art attached

When you say you select the album again once you have copied the artwork, do you mean the WHOLE album? If so, no artwork will be displayed. Click an individual song and the artwork will appear.

Dont use iTunes to Tag MP3's, its awful!! I dare say someone will chime in with how good it is. thats like think a Morris Marina is a great car without driving an BMW M5.

Use something like Tag and rename.

Tags are a labour of love to get right, if your going to do it use a tool that's fit for the job and not the shocking crap that is iTunes!!!

I think I have worked it out. For some reason when I selected every song from the same album and clicked on get info there was no tick next to the album name or artist as to say that the songs had a different artist or were from a different album. All I have to do is tick the box for both artist and album and it’s sorted. Strange as my iphone shows them as the same artist and album and they are spelt correct.

But...

Now I have a new problem!

on my iphone now each album has a different cover in cover flow but when I go to albums each album has the same cover!?

Annoying!!!!!

No its just normal artist albums.

I have removed everything and added them again. I have then gone through each one and added the art work. Now on my iphone its showing fine in cover flow but if I got to album none of the art work shows and if I play a song the art work doesn’t show!

Really can’t understand it. I have jailbroken my iphone but not put anything strange on it.

Mp3 tag editor Tag&Rename - tag editor in mp3, wma, mp4, ogg files (ID3v2, APE, asf, m4a...)

I've done my entire collection with this tool - 120Gb's worth.

Cheers gary will give it a go before i kill myself!

I have used 3rd party apps before and had problems so try not to use them if i dont need to. I guess i need to now!
