Thumbs down Major iPhone problem!

Having played with mine, my wife now wants one!

She dismissed it as a 'boy's toy' gadget at first, claiming all she needed was a phone.... Now, persuaded by the ease of use, she keeps borrowing it off me to text people (something she has never done before other than in an emergency), and check her ebay auctions, and has now suggested she needs one.

It's not fair. How can I maintain my male superiority in technology, when my wife also has the lastest gadgets, and can even use them without asking me for help.

I guess that's her birthday present sorted then...

Re: Major iPhone problem!

I'll soon be facing a similar problem... she never wanted one as she didn't like the on screen keyboard. But I bought her a 2G Touch recently and she now sits bashing out crap on Facebook every evening.

I'm just waiting for the 'perhaps I should get an iPhone' comment.

Re: Major iPhone problem!

I have had the same problem. My male superiority has been maintained by jailbreaking mine and telling her it is very hit and miss as to whether I would completely break her phone if I tried to do it to hers

Re: Major iPhone problem!

I had the same problem.

I purchased one on PAYG and was very happy.

And then the nagging started i can believe you have got an iphone. I want one..

So she now has a white 16GB 3GS in a pink griffin wave case on contract. And she loves it and loves the apps Ebay, Facebook and skynews the most.

She is like did you know xxxxxxx has just bid on this that or another and yyyyy has happened in the news.

My reply is "No dear how would i know that" :-P

The biggest mistake i made was let her "share" my iTunes account. every bloody day i am getting an email from iTunes with "my" recent purchases.

Re: Major iPhone problem!

Well we bought ours together yesterday, however mine was put through first so I guess I win

I also have the upper hand as mine is the 32gb 3GS (black) and she has the 16gb 3GS (white)

Jailbreaking next, she refuses to to even consider it as it might void her warranty/insurance, im too drawn in to the endless mods to think about the risks...

Re: Major iPhone problem!

the iPhone is the only thing my wife has ever been interested in.

She fell in love with it as soon as she started playing with it. In fact its the only peice of technology she has ever really used. Sit her down in front of a TV the soze of Texas and all she says is "Thats nice dear, what do you want for dinner?"

But she does love the iPhone

LOL. That is annoying. I know the feeling - I wish Apple would wait a few days before charging/sending those e-mails esp. with those FREE apps.
