Re: Calling MobileMe Users

I started by trial MMe last Sunday..and cancelled it on Friday.

Initially it worked fine but then, on Tuesday, emails started coming onto my iphone saying that there was a formatting issue & the sender needed to re-send the email. Checked on-line at me.com at the emails were fine and displayed correctly.

Sent the same email to my yahoo account and that was displayed fine on my iphone so there was clearly an issue with MMe and my iphone.

So i tried the ichat thingy - got nowhere, had to call iphone helpline. Called them, 40 minutes on the phone & they said they'd call me back in 10-15 minutes.

That was Wednesday...its now Monday...

FAIL

Cancelled

Sorry..i know it didn't help too much with your post...

Been using mobileme for years with my iPhones (1st gen and 3gs) and never saw this problem nor have I heard of anyone else having it. Something local perhaps?

Mme is handy if you have to push sync email and sync calendars/address books/bookmarks etc between a few computers and phone. Whether its worth the price depends on how much need you have to do this.

Sorry OP, I don't use outlook/pcs. Have you tried the Apple support forum for mobileme

Re: Calling MobileMe Users

i use mobile me to sync my diaries. i'm a driving instructor.
my diary on my pc is outlook 2007 and i don't know how i managed without it. i never get double bookings now and it'll sync in a matter of secs.

the only problem i find if you put a reocurring event on the pc and delete it on my i phone it puts it back in if i don't delete it on my pc. ps it also sync all contact addresses so saves writing them out twice.

Re: Calling MobileMe Users

I gave up on MobileMe and opted to use the Push service from Google instead. Calendar and Contact info is automatically synced to my iPhone and vice versa the instant any change is made. It's worked brilliantly and best of all is free. Google Calendar can also sync with Outlook.

Re: Calling MobileMe Users

I use Mobile Me. The trial is due to end soon.

I'm going to keep it though, for the £1 a week its going to cost me i think its well worth it.

I've set up a rule in Lotus Notes (corporate email client) to forward all my mail to me.com and got my calendars syncing etc etc. It's never missed a beat

really impressed with Mme - i can now leave my clunky Blackberry at home (it may be a Storm but its still clunky!!! ) i've got it call forwarding to my iPhone and its all pretty seem less.

Hi Gary, just a question.

I bought a copy of mobileme fron my local apple shop when i recently bought my 3GS.

I have decided that i am now not going to use it and its more than 14 days since i bought it so i'm not going to be able to take it back.

It is still sealed and as it was purchased at the same time as my phone i received a discount, instead of being £58, i paid £44.

Would you be interested in it as you will be continuing with mobile me?
It is still sealed, never been opened or activated.

I agree with all of the trading rules and if you like you can pm me and we'll go from there.

Hope i've not trodden on any wrong toes doing it this way, just trying to help each other out.

The price would be £40 inc p&p.

Jerry

Re: Calling MobileMe Users

I think in order to sell you would need to create a thread in the classifieds section of this forum.
