iPhone PAYG SIM in a USB modem

I have a USB modem (O2)

Inserted an iPhone SIM with 12 months web n wifi and also £10 credit.

Doesn't work and doesnt connect.

The O2 store guy told me that it is the SIM card but I know many members here who have successfully made it to work.

Any ideas?

Re: iPhone PAYG SIM in a USB modem

USB dongles need to have the correct settings for the sim just like your iphone. I have an O2 one which was supplied witha normal 3g payg but I have used the iphone payg and a vodafone payg in it as well.

Have you amended any settings and is the driver for the dongle installed OK?
