Multiple copies of files noob synch issues

Hi,

Very new to iPhone and iTunes.

I have successfully uploaded some DVD's, photos and music to my iphone, however I seem to have multiple copies of files all over my PC now.

My particular issue is with photos. I created a separate folder and copied the photos I wanted on my iphone to this folder because I did not want to copy all 600 photos from a particular folder.

Do you have any tips for better file management for synching? Or is there a cheeky app I can get to help me out?
