Hi,

Did a search on the Net and the AV Forums, but no solutions, hence this post.

Have a Jailbroken 3G iPhone (not 3GS, nor unlocked from O2 network), and am trying to set-up regular voicemail, so that it has a personal greeting ("Hi. You've reached Pooch...." etc, etc.)

When I go to Voicemail, it asks me to set-up a password, and choose either a Default or Custom Greeting. I enter my password, and choose Custom, then record a greeting. However, when I try to save the greeting, it comes up with "Unable to authorize access".

Can anyone help me out, please?! Thanking You all, in advance.

Thats a problem at o2's end I'd say mate. I'd give them call to see whats what.

Well, I've fixed it! It seems that you can only "activate" both the password and the change of message to a custom one, once you have an answerphone message. It's a weird glitch, but one that is easily rectified.

So, all you have to do, is call your own mobile number up, leave a message, and then once your iPhone tells you that you've now got an answerphone message waiting for you, go ahead and set a password up, and create your own custom message! Job done!
