hi can somone tell me if it is possable to have two e mail accounts on the i phone at the mo i have hotmail i have tried to add gmail but when i do it says canot connect useing ssl ( what ever that means? ) then i get a message saying the imap server imap.gmail.com is not responding (also what does that mean ? ) does that mean i cant add a other account. thanks in advance PS please be gentle with me as i am a old fart not like you conputer savey youger people

you can have about 10 accounts i think.

you have to log into your gmail account and enable imap in "settings" which may be the problem

have tried i puting gmail account on my i phone following goggle instuctions but all i get is IMAP account verification failed can anyone help please

have you enabled imap from your gmail account?

settings/forwarding/pop3 imap

have my yahoo and gmail setup and work perfectly

I had exactly this and had all the settings in Gmail correct

Theres a link I found on another forum to a page to unblock something to allow it to work

I was a bit dubious at first but its worked

Ill have a look see if I can find it again

Dont know what exactly its doing so maybe someone else can shed some light on that
