Issues in porting number

I have passed my old 3G phone to a friend who wants to put it on the Simplicity tariff. What is the correct procedure to keep his number which is currently with Virgin. does he get the PAC code first from Virgin or does he buy the Simplicity SIM first ?

Re: Issues in porting number

Ask virgin for the pac code (lasts 30 days) its not always instant might take a few days then get the 02 card.
