Iphone users can you give me some help on a couple of use problems

i hope you can help me on this i have found some help in the forums but need help on some littile problems with the iphone 3gs.

Q1 when you have a headset in not the apple versions when someone calls you will you hear the person through the headphones and would you just place the phone up to your mouth and talk or do you need to take the headset out my ears to take the call ?

Q2 when the iphone is in sleep mode and someone calls you but you dont want to answer but want to hang up or cancel the call how can you do that i have tried the home button and even held it down but the phone keeps ringing the reason for this is some of my friends are on pay as you go so i normaly hang up on them and then call them.

its ok when using the iphone as you can see it say decline or answer which is fine but in sleep mode i can not seem to hangit up it only shows slide to answer, is there a way

Q3 i have tried to use the flick on the iphone to change music tracks without going in the screen but can not seem to do it is there an option to turn it on as the shops demo model did it and if i need to turn it on does this use battery life ?

Q4 i know yahoo uses push for email but does googlemail use push ?

Q5 how do you use street view on maps

can not seem to think of any more at the moment but i hope you can help on the questions above thanks

You need to unplug the headphones. Although you will be able to hear the other person, they wont be able to hear you.

Press the power button .Press once and it continues to ring silently.Press twice and it aborts the call.

You need to drop a pin into the map, then you'll see a small orange man icon on the left of the pin tag, if it's not greyed out then street view is available, just tap the orange icon and you'll enter street view

Q3 - Googlemail does not use push. It fetches at intervals denoted by you (15mins, 30mins, 1hr, etc) or whenever you open the mail app

hi mate just tried this and it does work without pulling the headset out it just pauses the music you can use the headset to hear the other person and all you have to do is put the mic on the bottom of the iphone up to your mouth to talk, great means i dont have to unplug the headset or remove the headset from my ears if a call comes in

Re: Iphone users can you give me some help on a couple of use problems

No voicemail is included in your iPhone contract. On the iPhone VM is classed as data as it is downlaoded to the phone so make sure you turn it of when you go abroad.

There is no addional cost for a caller who leaves you a VM, just the cost of a standard call on their network.

1 MMS = 4 SMS messages.

It will charge her for that phone call as normal, as leaving a voicemail is still making a phone call. There are no charges other than that.
