Copying music and photos onto iPhone

OK, how do I transfer music (MP3 files) and photos stored on my Dell PC onto my iPhone 3GS?

Probably quite simple, but I can not see any way of doing it!!!!!

ALSO, can you select a piece of music as your ringtone? Looking at the Ringtone options it appears that you can only use the preset Ringtones. On my existing Sony Ericsson, you can either use the default Ringtones OR you can use any piece of music in MP3 format as your ringtone.

Re: Copying music and photos onto iPhone

Drag the track from the PC into your iphone music folder.
Or drag it directly to the iphone on the left hand menu this transfers it straight away.

Re: Copying music and photos onto iPhone

Ok, I have just worked out how to transfer music from my PC to iPhone and it has worked ok.

Just got 2 further questions.

Can I transfer photos from my PC onto my iPhone?

Can I select a MP3 music file as a Ringtone?

Thanks again.

Re: Copying music and photos onto iPhone

Pics have to be synced. While your iPhone is connected to iTunes, click the iPhone logo in the devices section in the left hand side column. Your iPhone should now show in the main screen with several tabs along the top. There's a tab for photo's and in there you will find options to sync all photo's from a specific location or select individual folders. Select the option you want, click sync, job done.

When you connect the iPhone Windows should display a popup window that allows you to browse (some of) the contents of the device, including pictures. It should also display in My Computer when connected too.
