Thats odd, it always asks me before restoring from a back-up, what process are you doing?

Re: Stop Me Destroying My iPhone....

First upgrade from 2.2.1 to 3.0.

So the stuff that iTunes goes through, I had it before on a previous FW where it just stuck the backup on but cant for the life of me remember how I got round it.

Just noticed aswell that its no longer got a name in the left hand pane, just 'iPhone'

Re: Stop Me Destroying My iPhone....

Well I've managed to set it up as a new phone but now I'm getting error after error with the Cydia upgrades. I've had enough of this crap.

Did you install all sources?

If so delete all sources, although you have deleted them you will still have all the repositories.

Now go back to cydia and see if the stuff you installed did actually install.
