I haven't read this anywhere so I think this problem is going to be unique to me. I currently have a 16gb 3G iPhone and just JB'd it and upgraded to OS 3.0 using Ultrasn0w. Everything works fine make / receive calls text, surf the web etc however.. since the upgrade my notifications do not dissapear, so when ever I send or receive a text on the top of the screen the text message icon always remains even after reading the text. The same happens with new mail, the icon remains on the top of the screen and can't get them to disappear.

The actual icons on the winterboard are correct once I've read the email the notification goes but the top of the screen stays and it's starting to annoy me.

I've resprung, rebooted, switched the phone off and on, screamed at it, threatened violence against the phone, pleaded with it,, but nothing works, other than a complete restore which is option Z does anyone else have this problem and fixed it ????

I used to get this now and again with iphone 2.2.1 jailbroken via quickpwn. the notification disappears eventually and i couldn't work out why.

I also got the missed call icon failing to disappear, with the same result - that it goes eventually.

Didn't bother me too much, as it was infrequent.

hey snoozeboy, I have my fingers crossed it will just fix itself, I should have also said that I deleted my email account from the phone and then rebooted it etc and the email icon still remained even though I had no email accounts so I would assume I have a little bug in there somewhere,

I'm hoping over the weekend it will correct itself but if not if I have missed something obvious I'm wiling to give it a try before I do a complete restore,

Try Notifier now it has been modded to version 3 and seems to work ok.
