A2DP via Nokia BH-209 on iphone 3.0

Apologies if this is a stupid question.

I have a Nokia BH-209 and I'd like to use it as an (obviously mono) earphone whilst playing games and listening to podcasts on the iphone.

Since upgrading to 3.0 I was hoping that this would be possible. The BH-209 pairs with the iphone ok and it works fine for calls, as before 3.0, but I don't get any option to play the games and podcast sounds via the BH-209. It just keeps playing via the iphone speaker.

Obviously the BH-209 is an earpiece and so isn't stereo, so is that the reason why it doesn't work? Does A2DP have to be via a stereo headset?

Thanks in advance.
