I know the 3g has a slightly yellow tinge but this was an attempt to get the phone closer to what is more acceptable rather than the cool computer monitor look. I like it personally.

Do you think all the new phones are like this then Lance? Some people are saying they can't see a difference so mine must surely be faulty?

Re: Anyone got yellowing on the screen display?

Try a full restore to factory settings as mentioned on this thread

iPhone 3G Yellow Screen Issue - Mac Forums

EDIT - bad link - just noticed that link is from the 3G from last year.

This is the link you want http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=726743

Seems to be a repeating problem.

Re: Anyone got yellowing on the screen display?

Mine has the blue tinge or 'cool', my 3G has the yellow or 'warm' tinge.

I prefer the yellow myself.

Re: Anyone got yellowing on the screen display?

BTW I cannot remember where I saw it but I read yesterday that the yellow tinge is intentional and supposed to give a warmer colour, easier on the eyes and better viewing in sunlight.

If this is intentional then you are stuck with it.

Re: Anyone got yellowing on the screen display?

It seems to be a "feature" of the new screens they use... there is a massive difference between my 3GS and 2g handsets

Re: Anyone got yellowing on the screen display?

It's called D65 I believe I've set my TV using this standard some find it hard to get used to at first because as I mentioned before they prefer the cooler PC screen look me I prefer warmer so i have no problem with the 3G or 3GS screen.

Re: Anyone got yellowing on the screen display?

If you read 3 paragraphs down in the link it explains D65 now I know the link doesn't pertain to the iPhone but apparently apple went that way with there screen config.
