Problem "BACKING UP" iphone

Hi guys after some advice here,

Spent sunday sorting my PC out as its was running very slow and uninstalled some *****,

Anyway went to itunes and downloaded 8.2, now i was still on 2.1 firmware and tried to download 2.2.1

now when it got to the stage of "backing up iphone" this laster for a good hour before i got sick and disconnected,

then tried again later and left it for a good few hours and it was still saying "backing up" , now i dont have loads of apps or music purchased on the phone and only have about 6gb of stuff on my 16gb iphone,

what could be the problem????

i want to get 3.0 but feel im gonna have the same trouble,

Re: Problem "BACKING UP" iphone

You might be better off getting 3.0 first, as the same thing may happen, why go through it twice, then try the below options;

- Have you tried turning the phone & pc off and on again and then trying

or

- After connecting your iPhone to your computer:
1. Open iTunes
2. RIGHT-click on your iPhone
3. Select the option to "reset warnings"

or

Just remove and reinstall all your apps
(i think you can delete the apps in itunes, and drag them back from the Mobile Applications Folder in your Itunes Folder, you can on my Mac)

or

- If all fails, how about a factory restore and update again and sync back all your files from itunes to iphone. Any new files on the iphone will not be on itunes.

Make a note off contact numbers etc first in case they completely go.

Or you might be able to restore from a previous iphone backup. Just be aware anything new on the iphone will be lost...

Just may sure you have a backup off any thing important first before trying all the above! To be safe.
